Global Association of the Exhibition Industrys Premier Annual Event to Take Place Nov 13th~16th 2013 in Seoul
OCT 25th 2013, SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – The Association of Korea Exhibition Industry (AKEI) is to host the upcoming international UFI Congress from November 13th to 16th, with Korea’s leading events center, Coex, as the official venue. An estimated 450 of the exhibition industry’s leading figures from around the world will congregate at Korea’s top convention and exhibition center in Gangnam for four days of networking opportunities and information share.
This years’ congress will progress under the theme ‘Managing for the future’ and a series of seminars and workshops over the two days will explore what is in store for the future of the exhibition industry. Congress participants will have the opportunity to spend the Saturday following the congress enjoying a variety of cultural activities in and around Seoul.
The annual UFI Congress is an invaluable opportunity for members to both network with fellow exhibition planners and events businesses around the world, and to engage in productive discussion on trends within the global market.
Korea is increasingly drawing attention as a key player in global trade, and a strong exhibition and business travel industry has been instrumental in developing Korea’s competitiveness on a global stage. Seoul is now a top five global meetings and events destination. It is hoped that the UFI Congress will also offer Coex and other tradeshow organizers in Korea a unique opportunity to showcase the business opportunities that they offer to international associates.
UFI, which stands for “Union Des Foires Internationals”, or “The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry”, was founded in 1925 and is the association of trade show organizers, fairground owners, national and international associations of the exhibition industry. UFI has more than 610 members from 85 countries, including 18 from within Korea, and holds multiple annual events for associates and invited guests.
