Coex, the leading conversion and exhibition center in Korea, continually strives to meet the evolving demands of the events industry. Returning for the 23rd edition, the annual Character Licensing Fair at Coex from July 18-21, 2024 was the largest to date, featuring 724 booths from over 190 participating companies, a significant increase from just 576 booths in the previous year. This year, Coex implemented a new initiative that removed booth fees for participating companies and free admission for visitors. This move significantly lowered the financial barriers, attracting a record-breaking number of exhibitors and attendees.
Returning for the 12th edition, this year’s Korea Hotel Show featured a lineup of over 150 exhibitors across more than 400 booths, showcasing the latest trends, technologies, and solutions in the hotel and hospitality industry. The event attracted a diverse array of participants, including hoteliers, industry experts, and service providers, in search of new business solutions and networking opportunities.
On February 14, 2024, Coex invited meetings industry professionals in Korea to the Open House event for its newest sustainable exhibition space, The Platz. Located on the second floor of Coex, the new event space features an industrial concept with a bright and open exhibition area of 2,224 sqm, a dedicated lobby and reception area of 646 sqm, and private meetings and conference rooms. Easy access to event halls on the first floor and conference rooms on the third floor makes The Platz the ideal space for smaller exhibitions, concurrent events, art shows, pop-up events, and VIP events.
The 18th annual Coex Food Week once again filled the halls of Coex from November 20-23, sharing “Food for a Better Future” through a variety of exhibitions and conferences. Held concurrently with the World FoodTech Expo and the Korea International Bakery Show, over 50,000 visitors attended Korea’s largest exhibition for the food and beverage industry. As a UFI Approved International Exhibition, Coex Food Week showcases the future of the food industry and serves as the ideal platform for B2B and B2C opportunities.
On August 30, Coex’s latest Open House event invited Seoul meetings industry professionals for a glimpse of Coex’s plans for the near future. Held in Hall C for two days, the Open House featured installations highlighting Coex’s signature eco-friendly meetings products and platforms - branded as ‘Good Plan’ - as well as some exciting updates on new spaces opening in and beyond Coex. Organized by Coex, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency, the 22nd edition of the Character Licensing Fair brought together over 160 companies, each representing the pinnacle of the Korean character industry.
The Agri & Food Tech Start-up Rising Expo 2023 (AFRO 2023), held in July 2023 at Coex Hall A. was a three-day extravaganza that brought together the best and brightest minds in the agri-food industry. The event was organized by Coex, the Korean Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, the Korea FoodTech Council and Nonghyup.
