Interbattery Korea 2024 and EV Trend Korea were once again successfully organized and held at Coex from March 6-8, 2024. As a leading global exhibition for rechargeable batteries, the event showcased cutting-edge innovations in energy storage solutions for experts worldwide. With the addition of Coex’s newest sustainable exhibition space, The Platz, this year’s event marked a milestone with a record-breaking number of attendees, welcoming over 120,000 visitors and 579 companies from 18 countries.
With its industrial concept and spacious, well-lit exhibition area, The Platz provided an ideal setting for startups to showcase their latest sustainable technology innovations. Additionally, the dedicated reception area of The Platz was converted into a Relax Lounge that allowed for participants to take a break between busy schedules during the day, and to enjoy a special Happy Hour event with free beer in the evening. Conveniently located on the second floor, The Platz offered seamless access to and from Halls A and B on the first floor, Halls C and D on the third floor, and conference rooms on the third and fourth floors, ensuring a smooth experience for all attendees. With the addition of The Platz, Coex’s total exhibition space expanded to over 53,000 square meters from 48,000 square meters, further solidifying its position as one of the largest convention centers in Korea.
One of the standout features of The Platz was Coex’s newest event service, Silent Seminars. This innovative solution provided attendees with wireless headsets that delivered clearer audio without the need for distracting loudspeakers. The headsets not only prevents unneeded disruption to nearby event goers, but allows for participating audience members to stay engaged and focused on what’s being said in a closed, quiet environment. Additional benefits of Silent Seminars include the ability to offer real-time interpretations in multiple languages, and reducing costs by eliminating the need for setting up additional AV equipment and structures on the event floor. Combined with an impressive yet eco-friendly stage made with Coex’s AV Drop modular system, Silent Seminars proved to be yet another valuable addition to Coex’s lineup of sustainable event services that can enhance the overall experience for participants and organizers alike.
During the event, The Platz also allowed Coex to fully demonstrate its commitment to sustainability by utilizing its signature eco-friendly meeting services and solutions branded as “good plan.” These included VOMO Smart, a fully reusable modular exhibition wall system made of 100% recycled waste paper, along with standalone lightbox systems that elegantly illuminated booth displays and walls. Additionally, Coex’s AV Drop modular system enabled the creation of impressive, sustainable stage backdrops, further enhancing the overall exhibition experience.
Interbattery will return to Europe for its second time at Messe Munich, Germany, on June 19-21, 2024, within The Smarter E Europe.
