SEOUL, KOREA – Coex, Korea’s leading exhibition organizer and venue, has announced the appointment of Dong-ki Lee as its new President and CEO on March 8. Mr. Lee was the former chief of Korea International Trade Association’s Innovation Growth Division.
As Korea turns the corner on the global pandemic, Lee’s well-rounded experience in planning, trade development, international cooperation, exhibitions and conventions is expected to contribute significantly to the revitalization of the MICE industry, and be instrumental in overcoming the many challenges being presented in an increasingly more competitive international market.
Lee will also take leadership of the Association of Korean Exhibition Industry (AKEI). The association was established in 2002 under the aim of promoting Korea’s exhibition industry, and works closely with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to support organizers, evaluate and audit, as well as operate key education programs.
