Coex Convention Center reaches MoU with Japan’s leading PCO Company, Convention Linkage Inc.
Cooperation in convention industry, expected to invigorate the regional MICE industry
On Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012, Korea’s leading Convention & Exhibition Center, Coex (CEO, Mr. Sung Won Hong) and Japan’s leading PCO (Professional Convention Organizer) company, Convention Linkage Inc. (President, Ms. Atsuko Sunahara) have reached memorandums of understanding (MoUs) on the field of professional convention organization and MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) industry.
Convention Linkage Inc. is one of Japan’s most renowned PCO companies that operates 20 or more convention facilities in Japan, including the Beppu Convention Center and the Sapporo Convention Center. Also, it possesses years of professional experience in the field of convention organizing through handling diverse international meetings, such as the G8 Summit Meeting, and APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting.
This agreement will cover deeper cooperation in development of convention organizing, and internalization of diverse regional exhibitions. Also, business collaboration between the two companies is expected to revitalize the convention industry and further expand mutual trade exchange between Korea and Japan.
