Coex Executive Vice President Receives Prestigious Award in Ceremony with President
The Executive Vice president of Coex, Hyung Bo Kim, was awarded the ‘Iron Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit’ at Korea’s 49th Trade Day ceremony at Coex yesterday, December 5th. The award came in recognition of his significant contribution in opening up new world markets and developing trade promotion through his work at Coex. Korean President Lee Myung Bak was also present at the event.
Kim has pioneered the path for exports from Korea by attracting more buyers to trade exhibitions and leading the promotion of foreign trade. He has assisted in elevating the position of South Korea as a host country for international conferences by helping secure and successfully organize large-scale summit events at Coex such as the G20 Summit in 2010 and the Nuclear Security Summit earlier this year. For this hard work, Kim was chosen as recipient of the prestigious award.
Kim is also the Director of the Asia Exhibition and Convention Bureau Federation (AFECA), Exhibition Organizers Association, and Korea Association of the Exhibition Industry.
