Coex Hosts Representatives from 50 International Embassies at Networking Event

Coex Convention and Exhibition Center welcomed Ambassadors, Secretaries, Counselors and representatives from almost 50 different International Embassies and Trade Associations based in Seoul, at an Evening Reception held in Itaewon on Friday December 7^th. The Evening Reception, which was co-hosted by Gangnam-gu District office and supported by the Korea Coffee Association, aimed to bring together key figures in the international trade industry in Seoul for a night of networking, entertainment and information share.

Although the reception is an annual affair, this year marked a record number of attendees with over 100 in total enjoying the event.

The evening’s schedule included presentations by Gangnam-gu District Office and Coex, a live-band, ‘Gangnam Style’ photo-zone, and Lucky Bingo. Bingo prizes included stays at some of Seoul’s top hotels, meals for two at Coex’s premier buffet, Wizwit, and a round-trip flight ticket to a European city of choice sponsored by Lufthansa Airlines.

Coex aims to work closely with its Embassy and Trade Association partners in order to provide optimal opportunities for overseas businesses looking to participate in its many tradeshows. Benefits for Embassies supporting their country’s involvement include unified ‘National Pavilion’ packages, unified booth themes, discounted airfare and accommodation, and biz-matching and translation services.
