Coex’s Vietnam Retail and Franchise Show (VIETRF) held a record-breaking exhibition this November. With 392 exhibitors and more than 500 booths from 14 countries, the 2015 edition held the largest turnout since the exhibition started in 2009.
In addition to more an increase in booths, the show saw 36,517 visitors from 24 countries over the course of four days from November 4th -7th, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC). A number of overseas buyers, including delegations from Thailand, Myanmar, and Cambodia, came to participate in the 1:1 biz matching program. A total of 5,309 meetings took place resulting 35 billion won ($30 million USD) in contracts expected to be signed within 1 year.
This year’s VIETRF was also celebrated with the announcement of the Vietnam International Coffee and Dessert Show, an all new show to be organised by Coex starting in June 2016. The show will be co-located with VIETRF 2016.
Coex is building on the success of its home grown Coffee Expo Seoul, which has seen massive growth in the four years since its launch. Vietnam was chosen as the location to launch the show for the massive growth in the Vietnamese coffee market. With growth in middle class consumption, and a 12% year-on-year growth in the cafe market, Vietnam is prime for international investment.
The Coffee and Dessert Show will feature buyers from a range of business sectors including wholesalers, importers and exporters, store owners and investors, franchise owners, and baristas.
