Visitors to Korea Food Week 2012 at Coex, Seoul, from November 6th to 10th, are to have their taste buds dazzled by a huge selection of foods from thirty one countries around the globe. As well as indulging an array of delicious global foods and snacks from countries such as Korea, Japan, China, Turkey, Finland, Australia, Ghana, and more, visitors to Food Week will have the chance to experience a range of food and food related exhibits, learn about the global food and beverage industry, and see some real-life super start chefs in action. Buyers visiting the show may choose to take part in Coex’s ever-successful Biz-Matching program, in order to maximize opportunities for exciting food-business potential at the show.
Food Week, which last year greeted over 90,000 visitors, almost 120 exhibits from 33 countries, and more than 1,600 domestic firms, aims to feature goods and products from every sector of the global food industry. As the largest and busiest food exhibition in Korea, Food Week 2012 will provide a business hub for buyers and sellers in the international food business by welcoming more than 1,000 exhibitors spread over a staggering 2,000 exhibition booths from around the world. This year’s event further reflects the rising global popularity of desserts and sweet snacks by including a brand-new ‘Coffee and Bakery’ section.
A unique new addition to this years’ Food Week program includes project Food Bank. ‘Food Bank’ will see food product donations made by manufacturers and individual contributors at Food Week 2012 delivered to specially chosen recipients and charities in Korea, and broadcast live by well-known Korean broadcasting company MBC.
