Coex has once again teamed up with the Korea International Trade Asssociation, Gangnam District Office, and the 15 members of the Coex MICE Cluster (CMC) to put on the annual Coex Winter Festival – this year under theme of “Mysterious Story”. Running from December 19th to December 25th (with some events going longer), the festival fills the halls and spaces in and around Coex with special exhibits, marketplaces, shows, and of course multiple concurrent exhibits.
Along with messages of hope and cheer for the new year, the visual theme of rabbits can be seen throughout the festival, as 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit. Standing 6 meters tall at the East Gate of Coex is a huge pink balloon rabbit display called Mate of New Year (MONY). Inside are exhibits featuring the works of over 50 artists that celebrate the rabbit theme, and even a rabbit section as part of the larger Bric Korea Exhibition.
Those visiting Coex during the holiday season should also be sure to check out the Christmas Market featuring the works of over 130 start-up companies, as well as one of the many concurrent exhibitions going on throughout Coex during this time, including the Seoul Art Show, Illustration Fair, Design Festival, and Creator’s Ground.
Regarding the Coex Winter Festival, Coex CEO Dongki Lee said that Coex has worked hard to prepare this wonderful winter festival event, and that it will hopefully, “bring people some comfort and cheer to end the year, and inspire everyone to have a great start to the year 2023.”
