Interbattery 2013 to launch this fall as part of Energy Korea Week at Coex
Coex Convention and Exhibition Center in Seoul is to launch new show ‘Interbattery 2013’ as part of Energy Week Korea this fall in order to further enhance the domestic and international battery market. From October 16th – 19th 2013 an estimated 200 battery-related companies will gather in Hall C of the center for a battery expo expected to spearhead secondary cell industry development and information exchange.
Three concurrent events – the World Smart Grid Expo, Green Korea, and Renewable Energy Korea – will, together with Interbattery 2013, comprise this years’ Energy Korea Week. Energy Korea Week is the largest event hosted by Korea's Ministry of Knowledge Economy and aims to act as a business platform for thousands of buyers, industry experts, and brands across the international energy market.
Interbattery 2013 exhibits and fields of interest are to include raw materials, battery equipment, electric car chargers, energy storage systems, research and development, measurement & assessment method sand more. The show will also host ‘The Battery Conference’ from October 16 – 18, which is expected to draw up to 500 international attendees.

The show comes as the Korean government continues to actively develop the nation’s energy and battery industry. May 29th 2013 in Seoul saw some of Korea’s leading energy businesses such as LG Chem and Samsung SDI gather at the city’s Science and Technology Center for the 4th Korea Advanced Battery Conference (KABC). Seminars and events facilitated the exchange of industry information and networking among some of the domestic market’s leading professionals. In addition, news of battery tariff reductions and increased investment in battery development companies from the national development council is expected to further boost the industry.
As the only event in Korea’s energy sector to be hosted solely by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and with co-promotion alongside the Korea Battery Industry Association and Coex, Interbattery 2013 is expected to attract quality professional buyers for unbeatable business and networking opportunity.
