Korea has recently eased its social distancing measures for indoor spaces. QR check-ins, proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test within the last 48 hours, and socially distant seating are no longer a requirement for events.
Under the new guidelines,
- International/academic events now have no limits to the number of attendees
- Regular events can host up to 299 attendees while (permission is needed from the Gangnam-gu Office for more than 300 attendees)
- Exhibitions/trade fairs have no limits to the number of attendees and can serve food and drinks in designated areas
The newest guidelines brings us all one step closer to bringing back physical events and revitalizing the MICE industry.
