Seoul, Korea – Coex, Korea’s leading exhibition organizer and venue, has announced the appointment of Jo Sang Hyeon as its 20th CEO. His appointment was announced during a board meeting, chaired by Yoon Jin-sik, Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), and the general shareholders’ meeting held on the 26th. Mr. Jo, formerly the Director of KITA’s International Trade and Commerce Research Institute, will serve as Coex’s CEO for a three-year term from March 2025 to March 2028.
Jo, a native of Busan, holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pusan National University, a master’s in Logistics Systems Engineering from Korea Maritime & Ocean University, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Pusan National University’s Department of Trade. Since joining KITA in 1990, Cho has built extensive expertise in international trade and commerce, serving in key leadership roles such as Head of the Startup Global Support Office and Director of the International Trade and Commerce Research Institute.
Jo’s deep understanding of the rapidly evolving global landscape, combined with his strategic leadership, is expected to further strengthen Coex’s role as a platform that supports domestic companies in enhancing their global competitiveness and expanding into international markets.
