The highly anticipated Character Licensing Fair 2023 was a remarkable showcase of creativity and innovation. From July 13th to July 16th, attendees were immersed in a captivating four-day event featuring characters, cartoons, animations, games, and more. Held at Hall A, the fair delighted enthusiasts of all ages.
Organized by Coex, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency, the 22nd edition of the Character Licensing Fair brought together over 160 companies, each representing the pinnacle of the Korean character industry.
The entertainment aspect of the fair was truly enchanting. Thematic pavilions allowed visitors to experience a diverse range of content, including the Collaboration Exhibition booth, Upcycle Experience booth, and the Latest Trend Special booth. These immersive experiences captured the essence of the industry’s latest trends and collaborations.
A wide range of events took place on the stage, captivating the audience with exciting performances and engaging activities for attendees of all ages. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in experience work programs, immersing themselves in hands-on activities and interactive displays.
The fair also facilitated 1:1 Biz matching, which arranged meetings to foster meaningful collaborations and partnerships between businesses. In addition, an online export consulting show allowed participants to engage in export consulting sessions with buyers from ten different countries, expanding the reach and influence of Korean character licensing.
For networking and relaxation, the fair provided a dedicated Business Lounge where attendees could meet, connect, and unwind. Additionally, the KOCCA consulting zone offered high-quality business consulting services, addressing various areas of expertise such as investment, overseas market expansion, copyright, dispute mediation, and employment.
Side events, including the lively Character Parade and captivating stage performances, added an extra layer of excitement and entertainment, allowing attendees to fully immerse themselves in the enchanting world of characters.
