On November 28th, 2024, the newly opened Coex Magok Lewest had its grand debut with an inaugural ceremony and its first exhibition, the Seoul Living Design Fair.
Located in the Gangseo-gu district, Coex Magok Lewest is expected to bring new life to the MICE industry. The full-fledged convention center featuring a 7,352 sqm exhibition hall, 4-star hotel, and other meetings facilities has become the largest MICE complex in Seoul. With over 100 events already planned for 2025 and thanks to its convenient location just 15km away from Incheon Airport, it has quickly secured its spot as a new landmark for businesses and exhibitors in the city and globally.
The opening ceremony began with a congratulatory speech by Yoon Jin-sik, chairman of the COEX board of directors. Kim Sang-han, Deputy Mayor of Seoul, and Jin Kyo-hoon, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, were also in attendance along with other VIP guests. The speech was followed by a congratulatory video and performance, and the ceremony wrapped up with a luncheon held in the Square Ballroom.
Following the luncheon, VIP guests were led on a tour of the new Magok edition of the Seoul Living Design Fair, giving them a chance to learn more about the new facility while enjoying the latest trends in lifestyle curation.
The Fair is Korea’s largest living design exhibition, and this year follows the belief that “a change in space leads to a change in life”, revisioning its usual early-year schedule and location to kick off the grand opening of the Magok Exhibition Center. Bringing together top designers, experts, and international brands, the event was a success, with plenty of attendees roaming around the halls in search of unique and innovative items.
