On August 30, Coex’s latest Open House event invited Seoul meetings industry professionals for a glimpse of Coex’s plans for the near future. Held in Hall C for two days, the Open House featured installations highlighting Coex’s signature eco-friendly meetings products and platforms – branded as ‘Good Plan’ – as well as some exciting updates on new spaces opening in and beyond Coex.
Visitors entering the Open House were immediately greeted by a seamless, 72 meter wide video wall – the largest screen of its kind in Korea. This impressive video display was the latest project using Coex’s AVDrop modular system, making the whole setup sustainable and quick and easy to set-up. Open House attendees were also informed of the AVDrop setup that comes in an all in one package with Coex’s Grand Seminar Room, making it possible to lay out the room to suit the needs of any event for up to a 300sqm space big enough for up to 300 people.
Coex also proudly debuted its newest lineup of event solutions: a revolutionary OSRAM LED lightbox system that illuminates booth displays and walls to help put out messages in the right light. As a standalone system, the elegant frames are quick and easy to set up and can be combined to be used in any shape or length.
Other eco-friendly meetings solutions on display include VOMO Smart, a fully reusable modular lightweight exhibition wall system that utilizes a honeycomb core made of 100% recycled waste paper. The modular design allows for quick and easy setup, and can be customized for any layout that suits your exact requirements.
Some big changes coming to Coex include the opening of a new venue, The Platz, in December this year. The 2,224 sqm room will be able to hold up to 117 booths, and will be located on the 2nd floor with easy access to the centrally located Hall A. The bright, open floor plan space will feature an industrial concept and serve as Coex’s newest unique venue.
Next year in October 2024 will be the grand opening of Coex Magok Lewest, which is set to become the largest ever MICE complex in Seoul. Located in the west of Seoul and just 15km from Incheon International Airport, the complex will feature a full-fledged convention center with a 7,452 sqm exhibition hall (capable of exhibiting up to 350 booths), a 4-star hotel, a Grand Ballroom, and other meetings facilities.
Coex, with its veteran expertise as Korea’s top MICE venue, will spearhead the management and operation of Coex Magok Lewest for 10 years.
