Holiday Spirit Abounds at Coex Winter Festival 2022

This year’s annual Smart Factory + Automation World 2023 took place in Coex from March 8 to 10 for a total of 3 days. As usual, the Coex organized event took up all the main exhibition floors at the venue. The aimex event took place in Hall A and the Korea Vision Show took place in Hall B. The main Smart Factory Expo took up the entire expanse of Hall C and Hall D.
Running from December 19th to December 25th (with some events going longer), the festival fills the halls and spaces in and around Coex with special exhibits, marketplaces, shows, and of course multiple concurrent exhibits.
Leading medical experts from around Asia Pacific specializing in tuberculosis and respiratory diseases gathered in Coex from November 17-20 for the 26th Congress of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology (APSR 2022). The event saw as many as 2,000 domestic and foreign experts from 45 countries descend on the venue in the city’s Gangnam district.
From November 2-5, all four of Coex’s main exhibition halls were filled once again for the 17th annual Coex Food Week, an event that, “brings together everything from the newest trends to the future vision of the F&B industry through a variety of exhibitions and conferences.” Over 30,000 visitors and participants were estimated to be in attendance for what is well-known to be Korea’s largest B2B and B2C Food and Beverage industry exhibition.
A new 822-inch LED wall display has been installed at Coex’s stunning auditorium, which has been designed for use in international conferences, forums, ceremonies, concerts and more.
After two and a half years of domestic and hybrid type events, Coex is now once again welcoming several large-scale international congresses in the second half of 2022. With growing numbers of international event attendees arriving day by day, Coex looks forward to continue leading the way for a swift recovery from the COVID pandemic for Korea’s MICE industry.
On Monday, April 18th South Korea lifted social distancing restrictions that have limited gatherings and operation hours for most of the pandemic. With the announcement, Korea’s meetings industry effectively returns to normal operations, and events of all sizes are once again able to resume as normal with full attendee capacity.

Korea’s leading exhibition organizer and venue, has announced the appointment of Dong-ki Lee as its new President and CEO on March 8. Mr. Lee was the former Chief of Korea International Trade Association’s Innovation Growth Division.
Korea has recently eased its social distancing measures for indoor spaces. QR check-ins, proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test within the last 48 hours, and socially distant seating are no longer a requirement for events.
